Today is The Day - PLL Returns with Chloe King
Today is Flag Day, which is pretty awesome because the Pretty Little Liars flag is flying high due to the show's return tonight. ROCK ON! I can't recall the last time I was this excited about a show's return, chances are it was probably Alias. Regardless, I (and my best friend, Lindsey) have literally been counting down the days till the Liars are back with new episodes. If you're like my dad and have no clue what Pretty Little Liars is, well then you should be watching the season 1 marathon on ABC Family right now or picking up the premiere season DVDs or if you just don't have the time to catch up before season 2 starts up Wetpaint has an incredibly succinct recap. It doesn't have all the juicy info, but, it has enough for you to be ready to watch tonight. Basically there's four gorgeous high school girls being blackmailed; there's lots of drama and intrigue - think Dawson's Creek meets a film noir. Plus, the show has tremendously HOTT guys and the best title sequence I've ever seen. *Spoiler Alert* Additionally, the Toby/Spencer romance is sooooo lovely and sweet; Troian Bellasario and Keegan Allen have mad chemistry, they alone are worth watching the series. Oh and here's a tidbit courtesy of the New York Post Allison's brother has been recast with delicious model Drew Van Acker. (pictured below.) This season should be pretty spectacular given that the pressure and spotlight is on the girls with no sign of letting up, moreover, the mystery keeps getting deeper, especially, since now there a second potential death in Rosewood. Sqqqqqquuuuueeeeeeeeeee - I can't wait!!!!!!
Coming along with PLL is new Tuesday night companion show, The Nine Lives of Chloe King. According to the preview, the plot is essentially this: teenager Chloe King dies (murdered?) then comes back only to find that she comes from some ancient cat people, has super powers and obviously nine lives. I'm told by those who were sent and viewed the screener that it's good and very reminiscent of vintage Buffy. Anything that can garnish that type of praise is something I want to see. The trailer is perfectly cut and Katy Perry sounds purrrrfect (Sorry; I couldn't resist) in the background.
Both Pretty Little Liars and The Nine Lives of Chloe King start tonight on ABC Family. I'll be watching; what about you?
