My very favorite character from childhood, Winnie the Pooh, returns to theaters July 15th. Most of the characters' voices aren't right, however, I very much look forward to returning to The Hundred Acre Woods and, more importantly, to sharing the experience with my charming young nieces. Additionally, the mega talented and gorgeous actress/singer Zooey Deschanel, sister of pregnant Bones star Emily Deschanel, is involved in the project including bringing a fresh take on the classic Pooh theme song. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is one of my all time favorite films and, as a child, spending Saturday mornings with The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh was delightful. I expect introducing a new generation of movie theater goers to the gang at Pooh Corner to be an amazing experience - July 15 can't get here fast enough! The preview can be seen here.
