First up, the last season of The Closer returns tonight on TNT. There will be a spin off so don't get too dejected, yet Closer fans.
Rizzoli & Isles. My very favorite new show of last summer, also returns to TNT tonight with all sorts of crime series shenanigans. For spoilery goodness checkout TV Guide's article on the series. R&I had one of the most beautifully shot and acted season finales last year, in fact, I'm shocked it didn't garner any nominations for the cast or crew. I have to say I watched the finale about 8 times (disclosure I was in the hospital and there weren't a lot of options) and every time I watched I was struck by the beauty of this episode and series. Speaking of beauty, Check out the new promo poster - how GORGEOUS is that?!?! TNT Marketing people I applaud your brilliance. If you haven't watched, I'm sure you can catch up. Tune in tonight if you want to be impressed!
SyFy is also all new tonight with the premieres of Eureka, Warehouse 13 and the new show Alphas. I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to continue to watch Warehouse because there was so much bad acting last year, but I'll probably give it a shot, even though Joanne Kelly will be returning to the show. :( Let's hope she's taken some acting lessons since last year. However, I will absolutely be watching Alphas primarily due to the awesomeness of Ryan Cartwright, who delivered incredible performances on Bones.
Also up tonight, the new season of HGTV Design Star. While the show really hasn't lived up to the greatness of the first season, it's still super entertaining. Plus, this season the original Design Star, David Bromstad, will be returning to his roots in order to mentor the new cast members.
So yeah, tonight is crazy busy with TV options, especially with all the summer shows you're already addicted to and these guys. The good news is that these are all cable shows so you can always catch an additional airing. But, if you want exclusive Get Glue stickers you must check in tonight.
Lastly on Friday (the same night the final Harry Potter and Winnie the Pooh come out in theaters) Haven returns. YAY!!! Seriously one of the coolest shows on TV, Haven is a supernatural mystery show that has leads with massive chemistry. If you're staying in to avoid the theater crowds, Haven is a must watch.
